Spreads are usually full of palm oil and other foods that may not have many benefits for the body. That’s why I thought about this great variant. I was inspired by Sebastian Copien, a great vegan chef who created a pea cheese.

My variant, on the other hand, is a paprika cheese. Since I dip bread particularly often, I have finally created a great recipe that brings everything with it, both in terms of nutrients and taste.

  • 50g cashews
  • 15g nutritional yeast
  • 1 tsp thyme
  • juice of a half lemon
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 200g pickled pepper or roasted pepper

Have you ever used pickled peppers? I really like them for pasta sauces, but they are the perfect addition to this recipe. The flavors add value to the dish and they are also low in calories. If you can’t find something like this in the supermarket, roast a conventional paprika in the oven with a little oil, salt and pepper.

Step by Step Instructions

Step 1

Soak your cashews 30 minutes in hot water.

Step 2

Transfer everything to a blender and mix until creamy.


Step 3

Thats it. Simple but genius.

Step 4

Recipe works also for a Pasta sauce. You only need to add pasta water until the consistency is creamy enough.

Step 5

Store the dip in a boiled jar up to 7 days in the fridge.
