About this vegan wraps high protein

How do we make the tofu so tasty? We grind it, like cheese or a zucchini. I saw this randomly and thought this could be awesome for a vegan gyros. Once i tried it, i felt literally in love with this new way to prepare tofu. Its so simple, you event don´t need to press the tofu. Just start by grinding, transfer to the marinade and add the breadcrumbs. Fry the mixture 5 minutes and do what you like with it 😉

Ingredients

 

  • 4 Tortilla Wraps
  • 50g Hummus
  • Veggies of choice
  • 30g vegan feta
  • 200g tofu
    Marinade
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup
  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder or one garlic clove
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika powder
    To make it crispy
  • 50g breadcrumbs

This recipe is super super simple but such a lovely way to enjoy tofu. It tastes sensational. I am always amazed at how versatile tofu can be. In my opinion one of the best products for vegans.

Nutrition for this high protein vegan wrap

If you want a healthy kepab, you’ve come to the right place. The tofu gyros tastes amazing and is not oily or fried.

Step by Step Instructions

Step 1

Grate the tofu with a kitchen grater.

Step 2

Mix all ingredients for the marinade and transfer the tofu into it.

 

Step 3

Now place the tofu mixture in the breadcrumbs and then fry for 5-10 minutes in a lightly oiled pan.

Step 4

Put the wholemeal wrap in the microwave for a minute or briefly heat it in the pan and brush with hummus. Add lettuce, tomatoes, our tofu gyros and vegan feta.

Step 5

Roll together, cut in half and enjoy.

  • 200 g tofu
  • 50 g breadcrumps

  • Now place the tofu mixture in the breadcrumbs and then fry for 5-10 minutes in a lightly oiled pan.
  • Microwave the tortilla wrap for 1 minute or fry 1 minute in a pan.
  • Add hummus, tomatoes, rucola, fried tofu and finish with vegan feta
  • Roll together, cut in half and enjoy.
